|
|
April 2015 -- Onsite at a New Haven county municipality, DTS conducted ten training sessions over a 5 week period. Based on employee survey, the Systems team created a training program and offered to all City Hall employees. Goals included:
- Target new skill building in analysis, desktop publishing, word processing, spreadsheet, presentation & windows programs
- Address emerging trends in departments like Health & Human Services, Public Works, Human Resources, Finance, Technology, Registrar & Town Clerk, Emergency Response
- Refresh best practices with Windows & File Management while using Google & Windows
- Identify efficiencies with existing technology to automate office processes & procedures
Some quotes from students who completed the class:
- "This Word class saved my job with my manager's performance goals. I had to know how to create a flyer and show that I owned the changes in this job. Thank you for saving me!!"
- "I learned that I wasted hundreds of hours by re-typing commas and cutting and pasting the last name and first name from one column into two columns. This saved me so much time with that 'text to columns' tool that I now have time to finish my month end reporting."
- "Crying that I can now do this!! Watching my co-worker build a formula so fast, and I could never figure this out. Now I not only can do my own -- but I was able to fix someone else's sheet. I've never had any confidence doing Excel, and you showed me I could believe in myself."
- "I needed this last week when I spent hours trying to print my sheet out. Your easy 1-2-3 steps showed me in minutes".
- "My goal is to get a management job. I tried the tips from your PowerPoint class and delivered the best presentation of my career. Your instruction is easy to understand and apply to my own job."
Part of our job is to translate technology into digestible labs and apply to the job at hand. Email us for a free quote.
