- State Representatives Forum - featuring Wallingford and North Haven candidates for the State General Assembly elections, hosted @ Ashlar Village
"Christine Mansfield, a member of the Quinnipiac chamber’s legislative committee and a small business owner, said the forums are designed to be a nonpartisan way for voters to learn more about the people running for office.
“It’s not just sound bites or rhetoric,” she said. “It’s a way to delve deeper into the issues.”
Mansfield said while national races get the most attention, it’s lawmakers in Hartford who have the most impact.
“They are our reality,” she said. “They have a direct impact on our pocketbooks and our bottom lines.”
