The Easiest Way to View Formulas in Excel

Sometimes it is helpful to see all of the formulas in a Microsoft Excel worksheet in order to analyze it. This is especially useful when you are working with spreadsheets created by someone else. Finding all the formulas will reveal the logic that was used in building the worksheet.

To reveal all the formulas at once in an Excel worksheet, press CTRL + ~ (the tilde). Any cell that contains a formula will display the formula.

Once you are done viewing the formulas, press CTRL + ~ again and the values will reappear.
