  Closing Multiple Documents at Once

Do you often work with multiple documents open in Excel? Here's a quick way to close them all at once and keep Excel open.

  1. Hold down the Shift key and click on the File menu. You will see that the Close command has changed to Close All.

  2. Click on Close All. If you haven't saved your files, Excel will ask the usual question, "Do you want to save the changes...", before closing each file.

BONUS: Works in Word, too!
